After three years of forging the Pouch.ph app for our beloved users, we decided to do some word-smithing and create a tagline that reflects our ideals. “Empowering the Philippines through Bitcoin. Safe, Trusted & Principled.” is a statement of purpose and a representation of what we stand for as we aim to make Bitcoin a transformative force in the Philippines.
The Imagery
The inspiration behind the tagline is deeply rooted in a vision of progress. The image that crystallized this vision is a road cutting through a coconut plantation in the Philippines, leading toward the Bitcoin logo. Initially, the placement of the Bitcoin logo on the road was a coincidence, but it struck a chord. Roads lead somewhere—they’re a path forward. That’s precisely how we view Bitcoin: as a means to lead ourselves and others toward a better future.

The word “empowering” captures the heart of our mission. Bitcoin is more than just a new form of money—it’s a tool for financial inclusion and economic transformation. In a country where many remain unbanked or underbanked, Bitcoin has the potential to bridge gaps, open doors, and create opportunities in a way that traditional banks cannot.

These three words anchor the promise we make to our users:
- Safe: We are committed to building systems and processes that protect users and their funds. Moreover, we make it easy and affordable for users to withdraw to self-custody, another optional layer of safety.
- Trusted: Trust goes beyond providing a reliable service; it means becoming an institution of choice. We’ve already established ourselves as a pillar of the Bitcoin community in the Philippines and abroad. We strive to consistently put our users’ interests before our own.
- Principled: Our work is rooted in integrity. We are inspired by Bitcoin’s principles and strive to uphold them in every decision. We aren’t a crypto exchange, we are a bitcoin services company. We believe in what we sell, so much so that we even hold a significant bitcoin allocation in our corporate treasury.
Our tagline reflects the intentionality behind our work and the trust we aim to build with our users. It’s a commitment. Through Bitcoin, we envision a brighter future for the Philippines, where financial empowerment is accessible to all.
